Bios
Bob Runyan
Founder, Educational Simulations
Lead Developer of Real Lives 2007
Bob worked during the 1980's as a high school mathematics
and social science teacher, including a two-year Peace Corps stint
in Seychelles, a group of islands off the east coast of Africa.
From 1989 until 2002 he worked for Lahey Computer Systems, a developer
of PC Fortran compilers, as a programmer, technical writer, development
department manager, and for four years as company president.
Bob began developing
the Real Lives concept in 1997, and has worked full-time
on
Real Lives since 1999. In April of 2003 Educational
Simulations
became independent of Lahey, its parent company.
Bob lives with
his
wife Kathy, three sons, and various domestic animals in the Sierra
Nevada foothills an hour north of Sacramento, California.
